Meet Kevin Krill
Kevin Krill lives and works in Crested Butte, Colorado. He has lived there since graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he received a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture. After begining as a laborer 16 years ago at Rocky Mountain Trees and Landscaping, Inc., Kevin quickly became owner with another college friend and landscape architect. After many busy and successful years running RMTL, he sold his part of the business to pursue new challenges.
His level of photographic professionalism reached new heights when he was invited to be a model on a photo shoot for Telemark skiing, a form of skiing that made travel in the backcountry in the early 90's easier. The goal of the outings was to shoot an image that depicted the beauty Little Cottonwood Canyon and the backcountry of Alta instead of the "extreme skier". The goal was reached and and several of these images can be seen in these galleries.

Kevin has been published in several ski publications. These images created the inspiration to venture out on his own and capture images seen through the eyes of a trained designer's eye. The result is a collection of photographs that display an incredible balance between nature's perfect randomness and the perfection of line, form, color and texture.
He recently formed Crested Butte Landscape Design, a team of Landscape Designers, Graphic Artists and Illustrators. This new focus will allow Kevin to fuse both his landscape expertise and his passion for photography. Please feel free to contact him about any questions, ideas or suggestions you may have.

From the Artist
"Crested Butte is one of the most beautiful places on earth and to be able to live here is truly a blessing. I usually shoot at sunrise, a time to reflect on the world around me which from my point of view is still a beautiful place. If any of these images make you look at the world from a different perspective, I’ve accomplished my goal. I look forward to hearing from you and I will continue to provide reminders of how beautiful life and the world can be."
