Meet Kevin Krill

Kevin Krill lives and works in Crested Butte, Colorado. He has lived there since graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he got a BS in Landscape Architecture. Kevin is a co-owner of Rocky Mountain Trees and Landscaping, Inc., a design-build landscape company as well as garden center and nursery. Kevin has been taking landscape photography all his life.

Kevin’s level of photographic professionalism changed when he was invited to be a model on a photo shoot for Telemark skiing, a form of skiing that makes travel in the backcountry easier. The goal was to create an image that depicted the beauty of the landscape instead of the extreme skier. Kevin was published in several ski publications and the images created an inspiration to venture out on his own and capture images seen through the eyes of a trained designer's eye. The result is a collection of photographs that display an incredible balance between nature's perfect randomness and the perfection of line, form, color and texture.
